“Keep It Simple, Make It Fun!”

“Keep It Simple, Make It Fun!”

During the month of December, everyone gets a chance to come together for the holidays. It’s a time where families and friends can laugh with each other, make cookies in the kitchen, build a fire, play outside in the snow, watch movies or sports (the NBA finally!), eat a great meal and take a good nap. That time of year just feels good. Some may even think “This feels so right and restful and I don’t want the feeling to end.”

January follows with even more promise. Without hesitation, January is the time for making goals and resolutions. However, I content “This year keep them easy, obtainable, and make sure they make you feel good”. For example, if you want to lose weight, set a goal for just the week or the month to not eat fried food and drink 64oz of water daily. If you feel good at the end, then your goal will be more fun and easy to achieve. In fact, you’ll want to keep going and you will continue to see results – results that uplift you and inspire you.

“When you reach for the thought that feels better, the Universe is now responding differently to you because of that effort. And so, the things that follow you get better and better, too. So it gets easier to reach for the thought that feels better, because you are on ever-increasing, improving platforms that feel better.”

The quote above is so powerful. To make 2012 your year to make it happen, try to do things that make you smile, brings you peace, makes you feel noble, worthy, respected, virtuous, wonderful and happy. If bad thoughts come, think about a special time during the holidays that made you feel great. And, if you think this sounds flowery, cheesy, and unrealistic because things are so tough these days. Remember hope floats, happiness
is contagious, and joy radiates like the sun. It’s worth it and you will look back and say 2012 was awesome!
